　　 中世紀(jì)英國(guó)傳教士。原為肯特郡神父，因布道時(shí)宣傳無(wú)階級(jí)社會(huì)，抨擊社會(huì)不公，反對(duì)教會(huì)和封建領(lǐng)主1366年被坎特伯雷大主教開(kāi)除教籍。但反叛精神絲毫不減，仍繼續(xù)在市場(chǎng)或任何可能的場(chǎng)合進(jìn)行說(shuō)教，被上層人物咒為“肯特郡瘋牧師”。

　　 1376年起屢遭監(jiān)禁。1381年泰勒農(nóng)民起義爆發(fā)后請(qǐng)救，加入并領(lǐng)導(dǎo)起義隊(duì)伍前往倫敦。沿途發(fā)表演說(shuō)，呼吁殺盡貴族和主教，應(yīng)者甚眾，被起義農(nóng)民譽(yù)為“平民演說(shuō)家”，起義失敗后被捕，慘遭絞刑。
